Alison Doody
Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actress. Her debut in a feature film was a tiny part in The James Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Later, she portrayed Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Doovan played Charlotte on Taffin in 1988, and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody started modelling after she was approached. The result was that it turned out to be a profitable career. Doody was averse to glamour and nude work. This was a principle that she incorporated into her acting. After receiving notice from the casting directors of the James Bond new film, Doody took a small part of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody is listed within John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as one of the 12 promising actors of 1986. 38. Only 18 years old when she appeared in the film, Doody was, and still is the youngest Bond girl who has appeared in a film. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) which starred Mickey Rourke, also featured one of her roles as IRA Siobhan. Doody appeared as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 television version from The Secret Garden. She was Lilias. Doody's first leading role came in a 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. Her first appearance was in the movie Taffin with Pierce Brosnan. Next, she played Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist and Nazi-sympathizer opposite Harrison Ford. Doody acted alongside Sean Connery, who played Indy's father. Doody co-starred in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British miniseries Selling Hitler, which was inspired by the publication fraud named the Hitler Diaries. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. The role she played was Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody was absent from the stage for nearly 10 years, returned in 2003 for a minor part in The Actors, a British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine was her character in a scene at an awards ceremony. She also appeared in 2004 with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She was also on Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 pamphlet on the Holocaust. Doody was also cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). She guested in RTE's the medical thriller The Clinic. The project was eventually canceled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. In 2014, she starred as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way.
